End of Term.

What another busy term we have had with some amazing work produced by the children – they are a credit to you!

The teachers have organised some lovely activities and trips for the children; dressing as a Roman, residentials to Dunfield, Edgmond Hall and Astley Burf and an overnight stay at the Leicester Space Centre. A trip to the SnowDome and Dudley Zoo to see the white leopard adopted by Year 5. We tickled our taste buds at Cadbury World and who can forget the whole school trip to see Jack and the Beanstalk at The Grand, Wolverhampton, ‘oh yes we did’!

This year as the weather has been so lovely and warm we were able to hold the Summer Concert outdoors and with over 80 children performing we filled the Year 5 and 6 playground. It’s the first year we thought we may need to postpone Sports’ Day because of the heat and it was lovely to see so many of you there and congratulations to Clent who were the overall winners.

The time spent rehearsing the Year 6 Performance of Gun Fight at Nugget Springs provided the audience with a polished performance at The Mill Theatre, Dormston. A fantastic array of talent on stage and a wonderful finale to their time at Cotwall End.

We were lucky enough to fundraise this year for a School’s Defibrillator which is housed in the main reception area.

Finally, I would personally like to thank you all for the support you have given the children and school as well as making me proud to be the Headteacher of such an amazing community. I wish the Year 6 children every success for secondary school as well as wishing everyone a lovely summer break. Look after yourself and each other and I look forward to seeing you back in school on Tuesday 4th September.
